Solos from Dream Theater's Images and Words Album include:
Another Day, Metropolis, Take the Time, and Under a Glass Moon.

Crap, there are so many others to choose from, how does one pick?

Re: Best guitar solos on a record on all metal subgenres?

I've always liked Andy LaRoque's solos, but don't like King Diamond's vocals.

I like Andy Laroque and Chuck Schuldiner's work on Death's Individual Thought Patterns, and can put up with the cookie monster vocals easier than King Diamond's falsetto.

Pretty much all Iron Maiden albums up till and including Seventh Son.

All my other favourites have already been covered, but i'm surprised that Iron Maiden don't appear more often.

Rock on!

Few more solos im liking recently which i dont think have been mentioned

Petrucci - Scarred, Lie, Prophets of War, ITPOE pt 1 & 2, Home.

Jani Liimatainen - Misplaced, Destruction Preventer, My Land. Actually just about every song on Reckoning Night.

Michael Romeo - Sea of Lies, Damnation Game, Domination
