Best guitar solos on a record on all metal subgenres?

Sometimes a I feel a player is particualrly inspired during a certain record. When this happens its great because you can apreciatte all its talent and potential... but from them on its all downwards.

Which are your favourtie all time solos over in a metal record (Im not talking about an individual solo over a song, but the overall quality of the solos through the entire album). Im not referring to instrumental guitar albums. Im talking about hard rock, heavy metal, glam metal, death metal, thrash metal, prog metal, hair metal... that sort of think

My personal favourites:

1) Marty Friedman in Rust in piece
2) Kee Marcello in Out of this world
3) Diamond Darrel in Cowboys from Hell
4) Steve Vai in Slip of the Tongue
5-10) Mattias Eklundh in all Freak Kitchen records

Well, I know I didnt make it quite clear, but I was refering about guitar solos in non instrumental albums. Just to make it a fair comparison or choice. So, what would you choose from that stand point?

I just edited my first post to make it clearer

I'm impressed with how much attention that recording gets on this board. It was even after Europe's peak, when they only sold 20 albums. I guess it was all future jemsite members who bought 'em.

His playing on that album lifts up what would otherwise be mediocre songs. It's rare that solos can make the song like this. One reason I like his playing is because it's very little flash - no tricks, screams, whammy abuse (not that there's anything wrong with that), but he manages to create very expressive playing just from good phrasing, note placement and sweet tone. Kudos to the f**cker, I hope he got all the royalties from those 20 discs.

With Testament minus the Trail of Tears solo at least!

And now he's playing jazz. That's something quite a bit different!
