Boys' State with picture of me playing guitar in talent show

I just returned from a week attending Boys' State. It's a thing put on by the American Legion when high school students who just finished their junior year can go to this camp and "run the state." I learned more about politics and leadership from this than from anything else by far, and I also made a ton of new friends and had a total blast there. Oh yeah, and here's a picture of my RG421 and I playing a solo at the talent show

Would have taken the JEM7VWH, but it was too expensive, and I would have taken my JCM 800 half stack, but it was too big and people were complaining my little Peavey 10" amp was too loud There's no words to describe the feeling of being on stage when people are screaming so loud you can hardly hear yourself play and you hear things like "YOU ROCK!!!" and "SMASH YOUR GUITAR!!!"

It was awesome

Yea, Boy's State was a good time. I attended back in the summer of '92 as a student and then was a counselor at Kansas and Illinois the summer of '95. Actually, I met a bunch of my future West Point classmates when I attended.

Yea, I had a great time. The staff at Kansas was all really young -- Illinois had a bunch of old American Legion members for staff. Glad you enjoyed yourself.
