Britain's Got Talent - What do you think?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WMjV8...e=channel_page

I was watching a morning show here in Australia and they mentioned this.

I reckon the playing is pretty good once he starts the solo, singing could be better.

Mother in law, haha that's the best bit.

If this guy manages to win or get close to winning the competition, Ibanez should release a limited edition GSA model done up just like that one.

I agree with Simon. There was nothing about that performance that was redeeming.

Re: Britain's Got Talent - What do you think?

It's a Queen song Queen is a national institution remember and a Queen song is enough to get any pub-rock crowd going. Job done

The chap isn't going to sell a million singles, but this isn't the X-Factor, it's Britain's got Talent; to choose an act for the Royal variety performance. A bloke doing a Queen cover with a light up guitar is light entertainment. I could see him maybe even doing a spot with Sir Brian of May doing a guest appearance on the second half of the solo.

Granted he should have a Union Jack guitar rather than a Stars and Stripes though

Do I think the guy's a great guitarist? No, sorry.

I agree with what seems to be the general consensus here, he's not really that good. Look up Flawless, they're my favourites to win.

Was that an Ibanez Gio? I don't see the point in spending money on leds for a guitar that costs less than the leds themselves.

*sigh* Here we go again.

The sound coming out of that thing was pretty dang fine if you ask me.

The majority of memebrs here seem to overestimate what a good quality means.

It ain't all about price.

It is! Why do you think americans buy water tapped on fancy bottles from Norway or France? If it's expensive, it must be better.

This guy played well the piece, that, I think he had to shorten, due to time constraints.
but the Talent (note the big "T" ) wasn't here, and his mom coming on the scene to defend him is purely R-I-D-I-C-U-L-O-U-S !!!

Better listen to S Boyle

I thought it was okay. I have to give it to him, though; it takes guts to try and sing a song Freddie Mercury originally belted out. Anyone who remotely questions their singing ability knows well-enough to stay away from Queen.
In terms of Simon's call, I think Paul Gilbert could have been up there and Simon would have called it crap! He puts throw-away one-hit-wonder pop artists together for the sake of ballooning his own bank account. I think Simon really doesn't care unless the artist fits into his formulaic idea of what a "pop" star should be. There are a few exceptions, though, like Susan Boyle who has undeniable talent that even Simon can recognize.

She has undeniable niche-market-one-off-single-and-maybe-a-Christmas-album, appeal that Simon can recognize!!!
