I'm sure this has been up before and I've read alot about it but it was a long time ago. In the movie Crossroads from 1986 with Ralph Macchio (known as "Karate Kid") there is a duel between
Steve Vai and Ralph Macchio in the end which many of you probably know of.
I remember reading some interview where Vai said he used a Charvel recording the tracks for the duel. I guy just pointed out to me that this moviesite had quotes of Arlen Roth (who taught Macchio to play so his scenes would look realistic) saying that he played the ending solo (a.k.a
Eugenes Trick Bag). If it was real quotes it should be true right?
But all the scanned tabs I've seen of it said that Steve Vai was the author and he released a recorded version of it in the "Secret Jewel Box", does it say anything about who wrote it?
I really like the piece which btw is very similar to Pagannini's Caprices and I would like to know if anyone here knows the truth about who wrote and recorded it for the movie?
I haven't been visiting jemsite much since I sold off my Ibanez but I'll try to drop in more often, I like the spirit here.
Thx guys.
Btw, excuse me if my english isn't great. I'm a 17 year old swede trying to do my best. Please correct me if I made any major mistakes.
