Re: Do people seriously think this is good?

the problem with guitar harmonies is that if the guitars are even a little out of tune with eachother, it sounds HORRIBLE!!!

The great thing about youtube is that when you're watching a video as brutal as that, you're only moments and a quick search away from something as incredible as this...

im not fussed on that dragonforce.fair enough they can play lightning fast but theres no feel or soul about it.its just sheer noise.not even good enough to fasten steve vai's shoelaces, but then again 99% of guitarists arent either

It's a heck of a lot better than grunge, punk, or rap...

Re: Do people seriously think this is good?

It was bad, but I want to give them the benefit of the doubt. Playing on a TV stage can lend itself to bad sound quality and lack of competent sound techs. They probably couldn't hear eachother very well. I've seen them live and they sounded great so I don't think it's always terrible. I've heard much more talented people sound worse on TV.

I'm no huge DF fan by the way.

Re: Do people seriously think this is good?

Plus you know...Sam fell over and knocked his guitar out of tune...

ZP did sound particularly terrible though. Which is odd cause he is normally spot on. Likely caused by a bad monitor mix.

I love when people post one video of a band live and say it makes them terrible. Thank goodness youtube wasn't around when Hendrix was playing.

Re: Do people seriously think this is good?

Anyone I know who has ever seen Dragonforce live (a lota people...lot of my friends like their stuff) said they were the worst live band they've ever seen. That video seems to be the norm rather than the exception, lol.
