Do you have a Band Rider?

We are starting to do National band openers. I'm getting ready to put a Band Rider together. Anyone have one for their band? What's in it?

Here's a few examples of BIG star riders. Ours of course will be as simple as a place to relax, some bottled water and some normal food, ie: subs, pizza etc.

I thought it was interesting to see what freaky big starts want.

Wow, just reading the spec on the PA are crazy.

11. PA SYSTEM
The Marshall Tucker Band F.O.H. Engineer will have full access to all P.A. CONTROLS…NO HIDDEN
COMPRESSION OR LIMITING!
The P.A. SYTEM will consist of all current and high quality (See Below) components, and all will be in
good working order.
CLARITY AND HEADROOM is our main objective. The Marshall Tucker Band is a High Energy /
Southern Rock Band which means we are LOUD…STAGE VOLUME and HOUSE VOLUME! The P.A.
SYSTEM is expected to MAINTAIN an 115db MINIMUM SPL continuous at the F.O.H. mix position at
all times WITH NO DISTORTION!

Yep, at this point, I'd settle for a room to chill in with some regular food. Though the limo's would be niiiice.

Good to hear your band is doing so well! No experience with the bandrider(thought it was a groupie!).I'm just happy to get free softdrinks and a food discount at this point.

There are some pretty entertaining band riders on that "Smoking Gun" site. Some are somewhat absurd (like Busta Rhymes requesting a bucket of chicken and a box of rubbers) but others are oddly pragmatic (like socks and boxer shorts, since laundry days are few and far between).

Re: Do you have a Band Rider?

Iggy Pop's backline requirement checklist was/is one of the funniest I've seen.

http://www.geocities.com/mnennoburke/stoogesrider.html

He even calls for .....

" Somebody dressed as Bob Hope doing fantastic Bob Hope impersonations and telling all those hilarious Bob Hope jokes about golf and Hollywood and Bing Crosby. Oh God, I wish I'd been alive in those days, so that Bob Hope could have come and entertained me in some World War 2 hell-hole before I went off and got shot. What joy they must have experienced...
OR Seven dwarves, dressed up as those dwarves out of that marvellous Walt Disney film abouit the woman who goes to sleep fro a hundred years after biting a poisoned dwarf, or maybe after pricking her finger on a rather sharp apple... or something. What was the name of that film? Was it Cinderella? Taller people are acceptable, of course. It's attitude, more than height, that's importantb here. Don't forget the pointy hats!..."
