Re: eurovision song contest
Nobody has ever voted for anything Finland has sent to the Eurovision. I'm quite sure it will be exactly the same this year.
I'd agree with

but still, do we have to send the worst crap that we can find?
And the really amazing thing is that most Finns actually think we going to win. And that is how it is every year.

Re: eurovision song contest
ESC is good. Great even! Most swedes have realized this, and their music scene is good. Lots of good songs have been written for the ESC. It's not fair to say everything is bad just because there are lots of bad songs from many countries. I try to watch it every year. After all, it's good fun, and a place for inspiration. Where else can you learn how to perform modulation? All the best tricks are used in almost every song. And cliches are always good! At least in my book!

Re: eurovision song contest
This would be a great POLL topic!!! It would require that voters watch (and listen) to the ESC! Some of them are good, most are not that good, but they are all entertaining.

Re: eurovision song contest
The really funny thing is that UK and Ireland who have a massive music industry with world famous acts just pick someone for the novelty value and do something really cheesy and 90% of the other participants are offering a true glance into their top-notch cutting edge home acts and are thinking/hoping that wining this will launch their careers and make them world stars.
Too funny.
