Fratboys, get your red Yankees hats ready
Limp Bizkit have confirmed that they are reforming to tour and produce new material.
The original lineup of Fred Durst, Wes Borland, Sam Rivers, John Otto and DJ Lethal will reunite to work on the band's first album since 2005's The Unquestionable Truth (Part 1).
"We decided we were more disgusted and bored with the state of heavy popular music than we were with each other," said the group in a joint statement.
"Regardless of where our separate paths have taken us, we recognize there is a powerful and unique energy with this particular group of people we have not found anywhere else. This is why Limp Bizkit is back."
The band will start a world tour in the spring, which includes festival dates and headline shows around Europe. The nu-metal group have already announced two performances at Rock Am Ring and Rock Im Park in Germany.
Limp Bizkit's first three studio albums sold 33 million records worldwide and featured the hit singles 'Nookie', 'Take A Look Around', 'Rollin' and 'My Way'.

I'm not a fan, but you gotta admit that they had some catchy songs. Eh, who cares?

I wonder what "heavy" music they were discusted with?
If they were talking about Nickel Back and crap like that I agree, but not to the point of wanting to hear any Bizkit. I think a lot of the heavy music has actually gotten a lot better than it was in 1999 'cause Limp Bizkit was terrible.

They say "popular" heavy music... and even if theres only 3 songs i like from them (and one is a cover) ill have to agree with them on that...

"Popular" music has rarely been interesting, that's no reason to bring back Fred Dirst. What makes him think LB was that good.

Yeah LB is popular music, or was. And that was horrible too.

Stock market must be kicking his A$$.
I would almost pay for them NOT to reunite, luckily, I don't listen to a station where they'd get play. I would like to see him spend a truckload of money and not make dime one, sorry, they suck on all levels.
Anyone ever see the durst guitar solo live?

Re: Fratboys, get your red Yankees hats ready
I liked a fair bit of their pop/rap/nu/metal whatever it is. It made a welcome change from the half hearted, can't be bothered "britpop" indie guitar bands that we get a lot of over here. Especially around the time these guys first made it big.
I do wonder whether they'll be able to make another impression this second time around.
