I had great memories from the 2000 UZ tour gig, which I think was a very good and entertaining gig. I was truly amazed of Vai's playing then. Maybe it was Keneally & Mangini who brought the more relaxed and joyful vibe to the band, dunno.
I really don't know what was going on with those guys now. I really expected something better. It was like Vai hadn't moved on at all, quite on the contrary. Believe me, I don't dish out $60 just to get to be a hater in the crowd.

Too bad the crowd coudn't appreciate the "different" aesthetics.
Yep. Everyone is expecting King Crimson to be on the stage; but it's Mr. Fripp on the stage with his own music. Without a doubt there will be loads of people booing and playing part in a whistling concert, that's unbelievably rude I think. Those people probably don't know his music and are so close-minded that they don't even want to try listening to it.
**It's your choice to listen! If you don't like it then go away and don't start booing or something. Yeah I know you paid $blablabla$, but you paid for seeing their own music, not the 100 notes per second or music of the band they were in 10 years ago. You could have searched that out before.

No way! G3 Helsinki rocked! Steve playd some new songs that I hadn't heard before and they were killer stuff! Something new again. Steve never seems to stop developing. I hope those songs were from the next album. Joe was amazing too! When it comes to "simple" melodies, he's probably the best out there. He sound was also excellent. For a moment I actually though that he isn't even human. It sounded so out of this world. Fripp was maybe a bit too mellow. Synth guitar for 30 mins and then he left. I wish he had played some KC songs as well. Then it would have been cooler. I'm not a fan of KC or Fripp. I've only heard about 15 KC altogether so I wasn't really expecting anything. Maybe the KC fans were disappointed.
It was the best gig I've ever been to. Easily.

Oh man, I'm sorry for him feeling terrible about the G3 concert in The Netherlands...
That was not a very nice visiting card you booing a$$holes!
You should have been booing the PA for his terrible mixing! In the beginning of the concert Vai and his band had their finger pointing up/down to the PA more often than they played their instrument...

As far as I can remember; I stood there for ~3.5 hours...The only pauses where the five minutes between the sets it takes to exchange the gear on the stage.
I think it was a bit too long, even though it's superkeeewl.
