G3 - 2004 Europe

It's confirmed, G3 is coming to Europe this summer and the third guitarist will be Robert Fripp.

Rock on dudes.

Yeah, instead of Yngwie.
Robert Fripp is not that famous because he was in a band most of his life - King Crimson.
They were the Dream Theater of their day and he is very skilled.

He did a few shows with the G3 camp in 1998 together with Michael Shenker and Uli Jon Roth when Steve didn't join the Europe G3 but if he can hack it with these 2 guys and Satch to boot - he is cool in my book.

Wow, lucky! Fripp might even stand up for this gig
I have to say, if they tape and release a DVD of this set of gigs I'll definitely buy it.

Fripp is definatelly more exciting than Yngwie, great innovative guitarist....Can't say much good about his stage presence though (unless you don't mind anyone sitting on a chair with their back to you for the entire gig). I saw Crimson few months ago, and they were great, very tight, Fripp should be an interesting addition to the tour that's for sure...
