this really true? Why have they two CDs with only three tracks on the second disc? They could have put loads more on there. Seems a waste to only have three songs on a CD to me.

that has to be wrong (lets hope).

the jam tracks are pretty monotonous and would be 100% wasteful as the entire contents of a 2nd cd.

someone needs to wrestle control of G3 media away from satch/sony if this is true... glen

I'm affraid it is true.
Here's a link to sonystore if you want to pre-order it.
I'm sure it's Sony and not Joe that is doing it.
They've given them a single DVD, not too sure about the CD but putting only the 3 jam songs on a second CD is very stupid.

three songs on one CD, what a waste.....

is it just me or does there seem to be a lot of Yngwie and not much Vai?

the spin (which is pretty much true) is that vai's songs are long and YJM's short. still it's stupid to have an unequal # of TRACKS cause people go by that when making impuse purchases... they're not going to calculate "time". plus too many hendrix songs.

this dvd/cd set could be nicknamed dumb and dumber ... glen

true, but then i would rather have more of a selection of vai songs, even if they are shorter. Mind you, at least Satch has gone for a bit more variety in his songs. Not just Flying, Summer song all over again.

this sucks balls!

i'm gonna cry!

could they have messed up that dvd/cd any more!?

Waaa Waaaa

Whats so hard about putting every one's full set on and doing it as a 2 disc, hell even a 3 disc dvd. They know its going to sell to us guitar wanking lovers even if they jack the price to pay for the extra manufacturing costs

I think we'd all rather spend an extra tenner and get somehting worth spending money on, rather than the same old format as the last one. Which whilst great technology and consumer expectations have come on an awful lot.

And screw the silly BONUS FEATURES which are probably going to be wank! Just give us the GIG!!

Heck, it costs nothing to manufacture cd's dvd's, especially for someone like sony. Man i'm frustrated.

Sorry for ranting, no point crying over spilt milk..and yea i'll still by it like the fool I am

Excellent smithers

Load 'o' crap IMHO. Unless there's some amazing bonus features on that DVD there's no excuse for it.

The only reason I'll be buying the DVD is to see if I'm on it Otherwise, it sounds like an overpriced coaster. Ugh.

I think i'll just skip this one and watch the badly filmed, but oh-so-great-in-every-other-way Live in Astoria DVD

Is there really 74 minutes of jam songs? Why couldn't they put more material on if they're going to put a 2nd CD in anyway? makes no sense.

To say anymore would be preaching to the choir.

~K

PS: If Chris is on it, that's all the more reaosn to NOT buy it - don't wanna crack my Wega
