George Lynch/John Sykes Tour/Gear/Record News!!

GEORGE LYNCH And JOHN SYKES To Team Up For U.S. Tour - May 3, 2005

Legendary guitarist George Lynch (DOKKEN, LYNCH MOB) will be going out on the road in June with John Sykes (THIN LIZZY, WHITESNAKE). Exact cities and dates will be announced soon.

In other news, Lynch is hard at work designing his Randall signature amp. The hand-wired version will be unvieled in Indianapols in July 2005 at the summer NAMM. George will also be unvieling his new ESP Brahma super V guitar that he has designed and is building with master Luthier John Gaudesi. Powering the super V will be George's new Seymour Duncan Screamin Demon V pickup. Also, check out the Lynch Time Machine Boost, which is being buit by Robert Keelley and being played by such notables as Pete Anderson, Billy Gibbons, as well as George.

Lastly, George is working with the engineers at Dean Markley on an all-nickle, vintage-style signature string set.

George played this past weekend at Cabo Wabo's first anniversary in South Shore Lake Tahoe with Sammy Hagar and Michael Anthony and reportedly "tore the house down."

George has been writing and recording at his studio in California along with longtime friend Mike Frowin and engineer Mike Tacci. A new all-original album should be ready by this summer.

Interesting that even as of July last year, he said he was working on a new signature amp with Peavey.

Re: George Lynch/John Sykes Tour/Gear/Record News!!

Yeah, the XXX was also supposed to be his signature amp, but Peavey doesn't even use his name to market it. The Peavey Brahma is now known as the Penta. He's done a lot of work with Peavey, but it never works out in the end. To bad, because they'd sell even more amps, if they'd use his name.

Interesting that he's now using the Brahma name, for a guitar.
