Been listening to Sevendust since 97. Very Very good band. They have a unique and interesting style. Really fun to watch live too. The drummers a riot.

i saw them live, they are a great band , thier stuff has a very signature sound, it can be a little wearing at times but overall they are pretty cool . They did a hell of a cover for pantera's walk when i saw them.

First picked up "Home when it came out. Fantastic sound and damn Lajon (I think that's his name) is an awesome singer.

Re: Getting into Sevendust

I bought their first album, gawd, it seems like forever ago after the single "Black" came out. It was the heaviest album I owned at the time and I loved it. They were really good live, too, with alot of energy. But, IMHO, I think they peaked too soon. Their stuff now has too much mid-tempo, syncopated chugging that really doesn't do much for me anymore. Vocals are still good, there need to be more vocalists like Lajon.

"Home" is a great album, I liked their last one, but not as much. They seem to be getting too comfortable with their style, great band though.

Have you guys heard Dark New Day? It's Clint Lowery's new band. I think the new single "Brother" is really good.

Sevendust is one of my favorite bands. Animosity is one of my all time favorite albums.
