Thumbs up

Got my 1st Adrian Legg CD

Hi-- Wow. This unassuming, average in all appearances, smiling, round-headed dude is very very very very good. I can't tell if he has but one guitar goin' on or, like, five at any given time. He has a neat sparkly tone with the occasional blur of a slide-n-bend. Sometimes he rolls the notes like marbles cascading down wooden stairs.

I got the "Fingers and Thumbs" disc. Highly recommended. It goes beyond "I can't do that until I practice more." ..... It's more like "I have no idea where his fingers are or what shape that is or what tuning..."

Re: Got my 1st Adrian Legg CD

I saw Adrian on the first G3 tour, he was the opening act. I was simply amazed. Check out "Guitar for Mortals". That CD is incredible. He has such incredible melodies.

He speaks so proper and eloquent, but close to the end of his show he was ripping some song and broke a string midway through a great lick. Then is proper English wasn't so proper anymore, lol. "***"

Truely amazing guitar player...

I love Adrian Legg's playing. Especially during his Adamas period. He wrote a pretty cool book called "Customising Your Electric Guitar" as well, way back in 1981...

"Tracy's Big Moment" is beautiful, among others.

He's a monster player. Can't recommend him highly enough.
I think he has also done some various audio commentaries on NPR.

Yeah Adrian Legg has some insane technique and tone. His playing inspires all of us guys who like to dabble in the plectrumless arts.
