Great White manager gets 4 years.

I was just reading the news about Great White's former manager getting 4 years in jail for starting the fire that killed 100 people in that terrible bar fire a few years ago. I kind of feel sorry for him. It's not like he did it on purpose.

I know, it sucks, it wasen't his fault for trying to make the show better, but the media needs someone to blame, and sadly it was him...

DON'T KILL THE FANS!!

Pyrotechnics in a fire trap, the lunacy. He got off easy. He should have gotten at least 10 years.

A drunk driver that geting 5 years for killing a pregnant woman won't make them rise from the dead either, but the punishment should fit the crime. 100 people died due to neglegence.

WHy only the manager??? did the club owners not inform him that the place was not safe? Were the fire codes observed???

Maybe that is why he got off "light"..Although 4 years seems like a long time to me.

I hear ya Rich. It was a terrible thing that happened and it was his fault. I just see prison as a place for violent criminals. Although I know thats not really how it goes.
There was some sound proofing foam that was put around the stage. Thats what caught fire. The managers of the club will be on trial soon as well I think.

Jails are mostly for drug offenders, that is the majority of the "criminals" behind bars [according to Bill Maher anyway

That's a sad thing to happen and I really feel for those that lost loved ones, but I just can't help but chuckle because it's like something off Spinal Tap

I seem to recall reading that the band and their crew were told not to use any pyro.

Why any band would use pyro in a small club is beyond me... blowing stuff up in small, confined spaces? Not smart. Save it for the arenas and outdoor shows, where stuff is much less likely to catch on fire.

He did get off light.

I liked the band. and I can see how the accident could have happened. I mean they were probably on tour doing this every night for who knows how long. It would get routine after a while. The foam on the ceiling ignited like it was soaked with gasoline. I saw the video of the fire starting and it was horrible. They lost their guitarist in the blaze as well.
