Guitar Movies

Ok
so it's safe to assume everyone here saw Crossroads and probably Spinal Tap,
but what are other good movies where musicians/guitar players play an important role?

I know Sweet and Lowdown is great, does anyone have any others?.

Rock Star

Perhaps not about a guitarist, but still a decent movie.

Re: Guitar Movies

Jeff Healey in Road house.

There's a movie coming out in '07 called August Rush with Johnathan Rhys Meyers (he's SO dreamy!) about a michael headges-style guitarist looking for his parents. I got a call from the Musicians Union here in NY when they were starting production - tey wanted a hand-double and somebody to teach Rhys-Meyers enough to look like he was actually playing.

Would have been a great gig, had I known how to play like Michael Hedges.

Man, see them ALL. Sweet and Lowdown was kind of a sleeper, it's a Woody Allen movie about a Jazz guitarist played by Sean Penn who lives in Django's shadow. It's great.
