GUITAR WORLD STEVE VAI ISSUE

Just got it in the mail. Huge "30 Hour" article on Steve. Largest article I've ever seen on him - lots & lots of pages!

I think he's becoming more of a force in guitar now than he's been in quite a while - and glad to see it.....

Ive been looking for that but cant find it However I did buy "record collector" today, and that had big shred special article in. Lots on Steve, Joe, Paul and Yngwie. It was nice to read an article about them from a different prespective, if you know what I mean, no gear talk, just chat about the music and stuff.

I just picked up a copy of Guitar World that is a 'shred special'. It has interviews from Vai and Satch as well as a large article on the history of shred. Anyone notice a trend in guitar magazines recently?

Yeah, definatly. Its all to do with the new wave of "rock" and the fact that all the shred artists appear to be doing something new at the moment (wether it be albums or DVDs or whatever...). Its all just pulicity!

Is there anywhere in the UK where you can get Guitar World from??
Cos its defenitely a "mainly american" based and produced magazine.
I am yet to find it anywhere in the UK, and would especially love this 30hour special with Vai!

And this is "Guitar World". Not Total Guitar or nuthing like that.

Try a big WH Smith in a city - they tend to import alot of US mags.

I'm pretty sure we will have to wait a month for the April Issue of Guitar World.
Only yesterday the Feb Issue (Zakk Wilde on the cover) was swaped for the March Issue (100 Shred Guitarists or something to that effect) in WHSmith.
Just wait 4 weeks and pick up the April Issue with Joe Perry and Jimmy Page on the cover.
That's the one with Steves' 30 hour workout.

In the meantime do buy Record Collector (Steve Vai on the cover)- huge A3 spreads on Steve, Joe, Nuno, Paul Gilbert, The Yng man and a bunch of other cool guitar players.
