Guitar players can be so damned hard on other guitar players. The guy is good, very good. Even if he wears his influences on his sleeve.

yep, I watched a lot of his vids a couple of days ago, like others have said, the guy is a superb player who also has a lot of influence from Yngvie...

If I could play like that I would stick two fingers up to those who questioned my originality and ask "can you play it?"

he made me want to sell all my guitars and give up - my favourite vid was of him playing the baby guitar

I never said theres anything wrong with it. I'm only comparing him to other newer players like Bumble, Mattias, Guthrie Govan, Bob Zabek,Balducci and other players. So when you do that, he's just another cookie cutter bedroom shredder fanboy, of which theres tons on youtube.

I just call it like I see it...

I thought he was awesome, and I particularly liked the video of him and Paul Gilbert sharing the stage. I have no delusions of being the next Vai or Satch, but it sure would be nice to at least imitate them.

Damn his Crafter superstrats look so good, I've been admiring them for ages... I think his biggest influence would be Vinnie More, his final Guitar Idol song last year was VERY Vinnie.
