Without any medical knowledge, I'd think 3 weeks for a cracked wrist is a VERY optimistic lapse. My advice would be to follow your doctor's indications in the strictest way. (I would also advice to post in the right area )

My advice would be to wear wrist guards next time.

You can still study theory, which is sometimes fun. And, you can get really good at picking.

Whoops....he said LEFT wrist....errr....theory and picking, you'll have James Hetfields right hand by the time your left is healed.

Yeah, just be patient and try not to get too frustrated. Its easier said than done I know. But hopefully with a bit of luck it will get better sooner than ya think! Next time though, be more careful when snowboarding!

I would work on developing my right hand technique something i never really want to do. Im still horrible at tapping with anything but my index and middle finger.

Check this out my friend. Years ago, when I was woodshedding 12 hours a day, I hurt my hand. The doctor told me I couldn;t play guitar for 2 months. I cried and lost my mind. Then I did some thinking........

I play slide guitar for 12 hours a day and I also learned how to play lefty guitar! Talk about a challenge, but I seeked, I learned and I conquered.

Good luck my friend and take care of you hands, you only get two in this world!

Thanks for the advice guys. I can tell its gettin better after 1 week, now I can atleast move my fingers and use my left hand I feel like ill be playin again real soon, in the mean time Ive been listening and thinking a whole lot, and Ive got a bunch of cool song ideas floatin around in my head. If I look on the bright side, maybe this whole thing will get me out of the playing rut I was in, and give me a burst of creativity Anyway, thanks a lot or the support.
