They got it right with the number 1 slot. What a bunch of hacks.

My previous boss (who looked like a hunched over, skinny, whimpering nerd) had the tattoos of the two clowns in that group on his shoulders. He was going on and on about being a juggalo or something and how there was a ringmaster.

I just rolled my eyes, such a tard. No wonder they laid me off.

how could monotone drones of repetitive noises be considered music? Almost as bad as Ambient. And he is as bad if not worse than Kenny G.

I've had a strong dislike of all Minimalism works, hated it when I had to study it in college, and hate it in music as well. First time I ever experienced it in art was when I was in my local museum and next to a Warhol was a huge 6'x6' canvas painted flat brown, and I asked myself why this was here and could not come up with an answer, to me, Glass's work is no different than painting a canvas flat brown and hanging it in a museum and calling it genius.

The one thing that really surprised me about this list is that they put Paul Oakenfold on there.

I'm a pretty big electronic music fan, and although he is not my favorite DJ, there are about 1000 other DJ's they could have thrown on there besides him.

They are grabbing at things. They are grabbing at names that we know and capitalizing on it, plain and simple.

Sorry, but he wouldn't be #9 on the top DJ list and then in the top 50 worst music acts ever.

Ok, so you don't like minimalism (even though not all of Glass' works are in that style, in fact a lot of it is far from it) which is fair enough. I just like when someone backs up their statement with an argument.

I personally like 'minimalism' (and *good* Ambient), quite a lot actually, and would dispute your claims, but it's 1.45 AM and I have work to do, so maybe another time...

You can't possibly tell me that John Cage's 4'33" is music. (If anyone doesn't know what that is, its just empty silence, supposedly the music is what people hear around them

Well, ok, that's an exception (although can't deny that it's genius - check out the video

) - such a piece can be composed only once...

I would agrue that all other 'minimalism' is music though...
