I Wanna Go To Namm !!!

hi,
It's been only a little more than a year since i've come to US of A. I am sooo confused here coz everyone is talking about NAMM. i know it is THE place to be and one shud go here before he/she dies. I went to the website but cud not find the link to buy tickets.
*I see some people pointing fingers at me and laughing their ass off*

HOW CAN I ALSO GO TO NAMM ?!?!
What are the tickets pricing ?!?!?
When's the next NAMM?

NAMM isn't open to the public. There are a few ways to get passes though:

1) Work for a musical instrument reseller that is a member of NAMM (National Association of Music Merchants.)

2) Have a friend who fulfills #1.

3) Become a member of NAMM yourself. It's not cheap, but...oh well

4) Work for a musical instrument manufacturer or distributor that displays at NAMM.

5) Have a friend who fulfills #4.

6) Be an endorser/clinician with a musical instrument manufacturer that displays at the NAMM show.

7) Have a friend who fulfills #6.

Those are the best ways to get into a NAMM show. They've REALLY started to restrict public access in recent years which is as it should be. In the mid-late 90's it was more like a circus than a trade show. It's designed as an environment in which business can be conducted and it's getting to be a bit more conducive to that. Still...it's a helluva lot of fun!

With pass limitations as they are, it's difficult enough to get my own badges

That's why I liked the Musikmesse in Frankfurt - it's open to the public, and I got to go every year when I lived there. Not as big or important as NAMM, but a lot of fun as well...
