I wish Vai would explore Flex-Able live some more

Yeah, I know he plays the Attitude Song, but I have really been getting more into Felx-Able lately (I've always loved it, but lately it's just getting better) and I'd love to hear how he'd do Viv Woman or Lovers Are Crazy these days, let alone Call it Sleep or even Little Green Men! What do you guys think?

He played Call it Sleep during the Sex and Religion tour and Salamanders during the Ultra Zone tour. Both of them impressed me and I'd never given Salamanders much of a listen beforehand. Call it Sleep is a beautiful piece; the NYC gig was pretty good, but the Vancouver rendition - OMG!

For anyone who missed them, I've uploaded live performances of Call it Sleep and Salamanders to the Multimedia forum.

Also, I guess my memory distorted reality a little; just dug up the Vancouver version and it's virtually identical to the NYC one!

You probably got it from the *internet*??? Hehe... :P

I _really_ don't understand people who are changing the names of songs or movies... Say I want to download Pulp Fiction; I find it, I download it...I play it...and it seems to be Missing in action...

Well, I can't see the humour of this one ...I imagine the guy from who I downloaded the movie laughing behind his pc because I waited half a day to see that I got the wrong movie...

Or are some people really that stupid??

"Hmmm, I'm going to share a piece of guitar music of which I don't know the Artist/Title....Well that must be Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Jeff Beck, John Petrucci, Yngwie Malmsteen, Eric Johnson and Shawn Lane together jamming... .mp3"

No, krizz, the ideas it that you're an artist who wants more exposure, so you think, "I know... more people will search for Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Shawn Lane, Tony Macalpine and Steve Morse, taken together, than they will for me. So, I'll say this song is by all of them so I come up whenever someone does a search." Pretty cheap, IMO.

Yeah, cheap in it's cheapest way!

But I was not actually aiming on music from artists who want more exposure, I mean 'real' jam's or live recordings. Say you'd like to have a live performance recording by vai, like it was posted here. So, you'll start searching for 'vai' and 'live'. I bet a quarter of the songs that come up are not even from vai and may be Satch or YJM or JP...

Example: Search for 'Speed Metal Symphony' (originally by Cacaphony; insane! ) --> around here Vai will appear 10 times while cacaphony, Jason Becker or Marty Friedman will appear only once... People just don't know what they're sharing I guess....

I did say "virtually" identical.

They are different, but it's been absolutely ages since I listened to the Vancouver version, and it IS better. The NYC version is video, and maybe I'm compensating a little because of the pleasure of seeing Steve performing.
