I'm gigging tonight :)

Whey-hey, I'm doing my first gig in ages tonight (last one was in May) with my band! We're playing at a place called Subway, which is a little place down the Cowgate area in Edinburgh. It's actually a friend's 20th birthday party, she sings in one of my mate's bands, so she organised a band night as a celebration, and we're playing about a half an hour set, which should be fun ... oh yeah, and it's fancy dress too... he he. Never played a gig dressed as a squaddie before... will be, erm, interesting...

That's not all though, we're playing in Subway again tomorrow night, although that's a "proper" gig. Looking forward to it.

If anyone here happens to be in Edinburgh (if you're not at the JemJam, which obviously I can't make, sadly), come along, it's only 3-4 quid.

Anyone else have any gigs coming up?

Enjoy. I grew up in Edinburgh and the Subway was a regular haunt (because it was cheap!)
Is it still a sh!thole? I hope so, it would loose it's character if they did the place up!

Yup! Subway is still cheap and it's still a s*ithole! Heh heh heh. Looking forward to it though. We've played there twice before. Our last gig was at Studio24 on Calton Road in May. That was immense.

Ah, good old Liberton! I'm just down the road in Gilmerton... Liberton's much nicer though. Did you go to Libby High School?

Well, just to give a short report, unfortunately I don't have pics but the gig last night was really awesome. We had a good laugh, people told us we played really well, we also felt we were pretty tight. We didn't make any mistakes, so... the crowd loved it, which is always a relief. The crowd is often what makes a good gig. Because it was a party we had a bit of a laugh and I decided to take a walk into the crowd during one of my solos, which was funny. It wasn't an ego thing though, I was just having a laugh. Our bassist kept on doing it too. Heh heh heh.

I'll try and get pics of tonight's gig, and hopefully I'll get them posted tomorrow. How do you post pics here? Never done it before.

Hello all,

Just thought I'd stop by and say that the gig was brilliant. Despite messing up the start of a song (my fault...) we seemed to play really tightly. We drew in an amazing crowd as well who were totally into it. It was great that we managed two gigs in two consecutive nights and played well at both of them. It made us very proud and we enjoyed ourselves a lot. We are hoping to do more gigs in the near future.

My friend has taken some pictures and a short video, I'll get them uploaded as soon as I can (probably either tonight or tomorrow).

P.S. How do I upload pictures onto a post? I've never done this before! Help would be very much appreciated.

Another way to upload pictures on here:

1. Go to photobucket.com
2. Make an account (it's simple and free! )
3 Since you'll have the pics saved on your computer, click "Browse" to add pictures...
4. Once you have the pictures saved, there will be three links under the pictures, and you simply 'copy' and 'paste' the IMAGE link into jemsite!
