Incubus' 22 Minute Odyssey
Check this out, it's a 22 minute, four movement "song" that I think was recorded during the "Crow Left of the Murder" sessions, but sounds nothing like the rest of the album. The first movement has a definite Vai influence on it. You'll hear it. Parts of it sound like their early stuff (I mean really early. "Fungus Amongus" early). There's guitar solos, DJ solos, drum solos. Very few vocals, but when they're used they're used almost as another instrument. So I'd call this an instrumental track.
It's also featured (split up in it's four parts spread throughout the CD) on the Halo 2 soundtrack.

Hey, I didn't host it, I'm just passing it along
Besides, I'm in Canada, where they're not really doing much about it yet.

yeah that is some real good music, great band.
mtv showed a "making the game" thing and had video of incubus recording it in the studio.

It's a great peice. While they're no Dream Theater in this department it's good to see bands such as Incubus stretch out a bit.

Hmm I previously dismissed them as typical MTV alt rockers (which I hate), and I have never heard them do anything great. But if they have the nerve to do a song like that in this day and age, that's a good thing. Maybe I will have to give them another chance..........

this is awesome. i agree mike enzinger is no JP but he does bring a different element with all the unusual chords he brings to rock, ive always liked incubus for being so creative and just doing their own thing.

Haven't heard this version, but I can't imagine it's better than the 24-minute "The Odyssey" by Symphony X
