Instrument insurance? Suggestions, etc.

I wasn't exactly sure where to post this, but since it's directly related to a "tour" that's upcoming, I thought that it might fit in here.

One of the bands I've been working with just booked a "mini-tour" of L.A. & San Francisco. As a result, I need to get my gear insured against theft, damage, etc.

I haven't been to concerned with it while gigging locally since I never let my gear out of my sight, but this'll be a 2-week trek that'll find a lot of my equipment parked in a trailer, etc. So, I need to be covered.

Has anybody else had experience with any particular companies, etc.? From what I've found, Clarion is looking to be the best, but is most likely not the least expensive. (http://www.clarionins.com/index/index.asp)

Any input/advice would be greatly appreciated!

Chris

when i first saw your post, i remembered that Clarion services Local 802, the NY musicians union...they might be your best bet.

Thanks Kenny! They're definitely looking to be the best choice so far. Do you have any experience with them personally?
