Here's a glimpse of the new artwork for Quantum, this is just a flyer I made.

That's sweet , Dee

A.H. and Virgil Donati Rule!!! I realised that I better spell out Virgil's name instead of using his inititals for fear of being misunderstood by the members here who's mind is in the gutter

I'm with you Ben!

I'll never get tired of it and I for the most part don't find it borning. However I have been tired and finished with Yng for years now I love J.P. with Dream Threater, but some of his solo stuff get's tiresome as well.

And I don't know how ANYBODY could call Vai an emotionless player

BTW - Glen's virtuoso / guitar god is Jimmy Page so that should explain the "Wonkers" comment

Re: Is there anyone tired of all these virtuosity shows?

hehe... i hate the phrase "guitar god" but i'd consider Page among the top RnR guitarists (rhythm, lead, acoustic, alt tunings, songwriting... who did more?). i mean he had more good riffs and melodies on Zeppelin 1 than the G3 lineup had on 15 albums combined ...glen

Re: Is there anyone tired of all these virtuosity shows?

Actually he was pretty much a guitar god back in the 70's..... made a big impact on me! Seen Zep twice in Tampa..... first show was great, second show got canceled and turned into a riot. They had to literally carry page on to the stage and point out what direction to walk.

Re: Is there anyone tired of all these virtuosity shows?

It does, Andre. There's been a lot of stuff getting in the way of this record. Originally Al was supposed to be on 5 or 6 tracks, but eventually it got cut down to only 2. Brett came through and did an amazing job though. If you liked the previous stuff such as MoonBabies, you'll like this material too, it's different, but still obviously Planet X. The band have had a lot of bad luck since TMAC left to join the Vai band, but hopefully 2007 will be a turning point for the better.

Any idea why they only did two tracks with Allan?

I think he just didn't have time for it due to a busy schedule.

Re: Is there anyone tired of all these virtuosity shows?

I honeslty never thought of vai as a virtuoso, maybe to some extent but I think guys like frank gambale and shawn lane are much more deserved of the title.

anyway this guy is amazing.
