That guy is very good. I can't believe the goons talking crap in the comments. Playing fusion like that is much harder to pull off the average than Vai, Satch, Malmsteen kinda material. I give the guy his credit. Sounds a bit like Greg Howe.

Wait for the 2nd song
He (the Youtube guy) sounds like he has several influences..... definitely like Frank Gambale, etc;. I think Greg Howe is more tasteful in his phrasing, actually taking you on a journey.

This guy is good no doubt..... he's got the technique including the hybrid picking. It's a technique great for improving your speed if you don't sweep that much (like me), plus it allows for larger intervals in string skipping and chordal voicing not to mention opens thing up more when playing slide . But that's just my opinion.

I guess some of that guys playing may have been lost in the fact that it was a poor quality vid/sound. With that said though, I was left wanting something more than what sounded like guitar masturbation in some places. It sounded like it was going to go somewhere but then it would turn into........

I remember reading in his bio that he was a big howe fan and was given a private lesson when he was in town.

That figures. I knew Greg had crept into his influences somewhere. Again, cheers for posting, I enjoyed it.
