JAKE E LEE NEWS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm screaming and jumping around like a school girl over this! Thank God Jake is BACK!!!!
According to a posting at JakeELee.com, former OZZY OSBOURNE/BADLANDS guitarist Jake E. Lee is working on a new compilation for Shrapnel Records. It will include several influential cover songs from the '70s classic rock era. Jake is recording songs from CACTUS, FREE, SAVOY BROWN, JOHNNY WINTER and TRAPEZE, among others. More information will be made available soon.

Glad to hear it. I love anything Jake does, but I can't help but think that this is a brief period of activity that will soon end and return him to his self-imposed exile.

I'm afraid that that will happen, too. We can only hope that this is just a new beginning, though. The world NEEDS Jake E Lee!!
George Lynch said, several months ago, that he was going to be working on "something" with Warren DeMartini(another guy that needs to get off the road, and into the studio!), and that he's like to get Jake involved. Now THAT would kick MAJOR ass!

OOOOOOOOOOOOOH! That would be SWEET! Maybe some sort of Mickey Ratt reunion (+ Lynch)?

Not quite, as Jake was in Ratt, before Warren. He recommended Warren, when he left.
I know, I know... I'm being anal.
Actually, George also mentioned something about a G3 type tour, with the three of them. I really doubt that it's going to happen, but he said that that's what he'd like to do.

Cool, Jake's playing with Ozzy is a major inspiration for me. A dream come true would be to hear him play with Ozzy again and inspire Oz to come out of his TV slumber and get back to being a musician again. It was cool to see the reunited Black Sabbath together for Oz Fest several years ago, but I always thought Ozzy's albums with Rhoads/Lee were his best work by FAR and it really disappointed me not to hear any of those tunes.
Oh well, I will have to keep an eye out for this one.

Jake E. Lee's one of the last remaining
guitar players
who deserve the tag "wicked"! There's just something about the guy that makes you want to say "it feels so good to be soo baadd"! Man, this guy just rocks the hell outta me!!!
