Jeremy Barnes - fastest guitar player in the worl

Anyone listened to this guy before. Aussie guy, sponsered by Godin Guitars. He's doing a workshop in October I'm going to go check out. There are some samples of his work on his site. Pretty damn fast, apparently something like 40 notes a second!

i checked out "stretchin' the 9's" - sounded more like an excercise to me, but definitely lets me know its time to practice some more.

OK well the clinic has been advertised as him being the fastest player in the world, i'm not entirely certain what his record is. The guys at the music store are pretty sure his record has been substantiated too. I may be wrong though, but still he is fast.

For real, its very difficult to believe. I'm not dodging anyone...I just can't see how that's humanly possible. That would be the equivelant of playing, say, the major scale up and down one octave 5 times in one second! I don't even think you'd 'hear' any of the notes. Fingers would just be a blur

Mind you, I've been wrong many times in my life.

75 notes? (note that it says notes, not strokes or anything like that) well technicaly if we talk about microtonality and stuff like that, you could use your slide all over a string and there you have more than "75 notes"...
I guess we can kick that guys @$$ easily

You know, I saw a show on the discovery channel the other day, that said that the human brain receives over a million stimuli a second, and could process only 2000 of them.

I'm not sure how that relates to the subject, but I thought it was very interesting..
