Joe at the National in Richmond VA Next Friday 24th

Anyone here going?

I got home today from work and my mother in law pulled in right behind me. She said she had a early X-mas gift for me. She got me the meet and greet package, front row seats, and all that go with it. I am one of the lucky dudes who have cool inlaws.

Now the question is do I get him to sign my American Deluxe Strat or do I buy a JS and let him sign that?

Lucky bugger

Just do what I did and have him sign your strap versus guitar, that way if the strap gets stolen you aren't out of $X,000+ versus say like $50 for a signed strap

Well, signatures don't really increase the value of a guitar that much, but I'd just get a strap or pickguard signed.

I am not worried about increasing value. Gonna use it as an excuse to get a JS

It was an outstanding show. Leslie West really kicked ass and I was impressed at his playing and tone. He played a custom Leslie West Dean guitar and Budda amps. Leslies drummer looked like he came out of an old folks home but he was really good. I asked him for a drum stick and he gave me the finger instead.

Joe was Joe, what more can I say on that. Stu kicked as as usual. His rythm guitar player was odd. There were no chicks near my section but I swear he kept lookin at me and winking. I guess he dug old middle age dudes or something. Joe played a white, red, and his blackdog but didn't play his 20th. He only had 4 guitars in his rack.

There were only eight of us in the meet and great so we were able to ask alot of questions each and get very good answers. I always thought Joe was a hip dude and he really his. At the encore Joe played a LW Dean that Leslie gave him. They are nice looking guitars.

Here are some good pics with link to alot more.

I wish I could see this! Closest he's playing to me is Atlanta. I saw Leslie back here in Memphis about five years ago, and he rocked then.
