John 5 Sounds very similar to Audience is Listening

I couldn't help but notice a title featured on John 5 solo album Vertigo titled Pulling Strings sounds as though he recently listened to The Audience is Listening on Passion & Warfare before writing Pulling Strings.

The arrangement of the piece is very similar in melody and structure. It's no big deal but just thought it was very obvious.

Any thoughts?

BTW:

Wow that is definately close to Audience.

He's good but at least in that song I noticed why Steve Vai is better. And why other players are better as well.

He's not the best, but he uses some pretty interesting country techniques and has probably widened the shred sphere a bit.

Seems like a really pleasant guy as well, but I wonder if he hasn't got at least a touch of OCD? The immense Tele collection and absolutely incessant practice are a bit odd.

Well...... 'just one more five-minute set of hemidemisemiquavers...'

No, I don't think I'd say that at all Maybe it's true of the breed as a whole.

Yeah he's good he uses some interesting playing in the midst of his metal influences. I don't know how "pleasant" he seems but oh well.

I do have to say it though. The makeup and all is realy annoying.

Fair enough. I'm not denying his talent or his niche. I just dont like it. But good on him though for making younger generation like rock/metal and guitar playnig.
