Man oh man, I saw her summer of last year ang again a few nights ago, and I'm so glad I have. She's unbelievable, have you guys checked her out? She's a Michael Hedges-y acoustic guitar player with such great chord use, structure and technique. Not to mention a really nice gal. I was stunned to see her on VH1 (a solo female acoustic tapping instrumental video on a real channel?!) so I have hope again, all thanks to her! Just wanted to let y'all in on her in case you don't know about her yet. www.kakiking.com

Man, no doubt! I saw her play on Conan O'Brian several months ago and was blown away. The next day at work, I asked my guitar playin' buddy if he watched Conan. He gave me a dropped jaw look and a 'OMFG', indicating he had indeed seen Kaki King play. Stellar.

I've seen her at a couple of acoustic guitar nights at NAMM- she's phenomenal! Great talent and a very unique style.

Good word! She's unique...by the way, she also made it onto Letterman a little while back. He knows good music (I think he had Vai on some huge number of times...good man!)

Holy crap! The tour dates section shows she's coming to Urbana, IL in October. Urbana is basically the twin town to Champaign (where I live). I'm so there.
