King's X is awesome, I'm still kicking myself over not going to see them at a nearby club when I had the chance.

Oh, yeah. Not so much "Dogman" and "Manic Moonlight", but everything else...

Re: King's X

Favorite song? Hmmm.... I don't know. Maybe "It's Love", or "King", or "Over My Head", or "The Burning Down". They are an amazing band, with nowhere near the level of fame they deserve.

A Box - yeah, that's one! Actually, Ear Candy is one of my fave CDs - I don't think it gets enough credit.

I Love King's X! I wish I could see them in concert. I like Gretchen Goes to Nebraska and Faith Hope Love. Good stuff.

King's X is a great band. Love the song about people complaining too much, and the one with the line: "....between life and death is just one breath.' or something.

Re: King's X

I think for most of their stuff he uses a Hamer 12 string bass now. He's doing less moving a round on the board but covering more of the sonic landscape, as it were. dUg just finished a European tour fronting Living Color as well!

Then you should also get "Out of the Silent Planet" and "King's X". Lots of people think their first 4 albums were their best, and those two would round it out for you. Lots of good stuff on those two!

Re: King's X

Been a fan for awhile now. I saw them live for the first time when the toured with Dream Theater and Joe Satriani. Great day! We had pit section 'seats' and had our elbows resting on the stage right in front of Ty Tabor during their set. We stayed put and were right in front of Petrucci during DT's set, also. After that, I bought most of hte King's X catalog. Dogman and Tapehead are still my faves.

Thumbs up

Re: King's X

Love 'em. Got Dogman a few years ago, and I was hooked. Sad to read about all the trouble they've been through over the years.

Re: King's X

I had tickets to see them in Montreal about 2 years ago but the show got cancelled, since the promoter decided poor pre-sale didn't warrant crossing the border...truly sad.
