Looking for new music recommendations
I'm afraid that my CD library has gotten a little stale and am admittedly out of touch with who is hot these days. I enjoy heavy, bone crunching metal but not low growling vocal styles of
death metal
, high operatic
King Diamond
, or million notes per second stuff. In the past I've enjoyed groups like Pantera, Tool, Metallica, etc, etc. Just good guitar heavy creative stuff with personality.
Who should I be checking out these days? Thanks!

Re: Looking for new music recommendations
You can't beat internet radio for finding new music.
Go find a site that has it for free, or if you have aol, wmp, real player, they all have it, and go to the World channel(s). Have a pen and paper ready, you'll be jotting a bunch of names.
Theres infinite amounts of good music out there, get started!
As far as metal, same goes but the above post has good ones (CoB, SF \00/).

Re: Looking for new music recommendations
yeah, I guess your right, the same pentatonic riffs over and over with a pinch harmonic every measure is awesome.

Re: Looking for new music recommendations
Why do you feel the need to argue. The person asked for recomendations and I gave one. If you dont agree then do the "grown up" thing and just let it go. This is not a debate.
