Madonna Changes her name....

In line with Prince, P diddy, and Mr. Ali, the original virgin herself has changed her name

The more you know

(It seems fairly off topic, but if this is the wrong forum for this, please move 'er)

Yeah I changed my MSNname to Esther = The Former Sl@t Formerly Known As Madonna...I wonder how she'd smell without a h...
People remember her past by seeing her face...not only by reading her name And these days I'd rather see the name than the face IMHO

Are you mad? (In MSN plus style!)

Madonna is a great artist, no matter what she wants to be called, or look like. I know for my part I will follow the lead and remember her by what I know about her. That is her music. Now that I know she's changed her name, then I will recognize the old Madonna as Esther. It's no big deal.

Yep - it was cool because the name didn't even have a pronounciation - it was just the symbol. Some people think that he then called himself "The Artist Formerly Known As Prince" or just "The Artist", but they were names given him by the press. He never called himself that.

It did get silly after a while, but I think it was cool in the beginning.

And Prince did it to help further his career. Madonna is just trying desperately to get back into the spotlight.

Nah, I think this is more of a "I'm settling down and getting out of the business" kind of thing. If she wanted to regain popularity, she'd pick a name that didn't make her sound like someone's grandmother or great aunt

I remember a few people referring to The Artist Formerly Known As Prince as the abbreviation TAFKAP. Hehe.

Hopefully with the name change Madonna will stop pretending she's 16 and having all her photos fed through more computer graphics than the Star Wars prequels just to get rid of her natural and well-earned wrinkles.

Give me a break. She's so gimmicky at times. So, her name's a problem but traveling all across the world to shake it is OK? Barf.
