Question

Marty Friedman instructional DVD

Anyone hear anything about this? It's on his website. He one of my favorite guitarists. It's just a tad pricey. Does anyone have it?

Re: Marty Friedman instructional DVD

Is it out already? I heard he was planning on doing but I didn't know it was already released.

Re: Marty Friedman instructional DVD

Hi guys!

Glad to be back on the forum after one month (changed town, job)...

99 secret guitar licks is excellent! Straight to the point!

Marty shows short licks (and only this) that you can integrate very easily in your playing. So it's not another ultra-shredder video that shows what you could perhaps manage to play if you could spend 18 hours a day sweating on your prestige neck : )

Go for it! That's all good!

Nice. I've always loved Marty's playing and using some of his vocabulary to expand my own would be very nice.

Re: Marty Friedman instructional DVD

I personally found the 99 Secret phrases to only be an ok video, but a tad overpriced for what it is. I still found his other videos (Melodic Control, Essential Marty Friedman and his Young Guitar instructional video) to be a bit more informative than 99 secret licks..

Still a great video with lots of short licks(a lot of short blues-based licks).
