I wasn't a big fan of Michael Angelo Batio till I saw this. I always thought he was just all speed and no substance but this tune has it all. Nice melody, tastefull phrasing and of course his tradmark flash and speed.

Goes to show that there is no accounting for taste because to me this guys is appaulingly bad.
He's fast but not clean, people like Paul Gilbert, Bumbelfoot, Yngwie and Buckethead can do faster AND clean at the same time.
Plus this guy has some major problems keeping time which is uber strange considering he's playing to a backing track with a very distinct beat - almost a clicktrack and he's still out of time quite a bit.
I know other people do it (play out of time) intentionally like Jimmy Page, Slash, Ed, etc but in their case they do it for the dramatic effect and you can hear that they are in controll and will get back in the pocket as soon as they finish their musical statement.
This guy is just having trouble keeping time.

I'm yet to hear anything by Batio that would justify him being considered a virtuoso.
To me he's just a guy who wants to play faster than he can (inspite of the fact that he CAN play faster than 99.9% of guitar plyers) which makes him sound sloppy.
Put 'bad note choice', 'bends out of tune' and 'unable to keep time' in there and you have Batio.

I like the tune, but the chorus part if you want to call that sounds exactly like a Journey song.

That's actually not a bad tune but nothing to write home about. I don't know why people think he's all that fast; he's certainly not one of the fastest in my book, not from anything I've seen him do.

Yeah, that hair has got to go. And how old is he to be getting those dopey tattoos on his arms?
