trouble311 - GOOD call on Colorblind. *That is one erie song.

The most depressing song I've ever heard is by the 80s band Great White. *Its off the Sail Away CD and sounds NOTHING like 80s rock, or ballads. *Its called "Mother's Eyes" and its about a mother losing her child. *The music and melodies are haunting. *Try to find it online somewhere if you can.

Later,
Chris

Chris--I won't argue 'bout that Great White song... it really is a downer. Fun to play, though.

Kansas - "Dust in the Wind"

People talk about metal like Ozzy or whatever causing suicides... well people must not pay attention to lyrics cause hell, even when I'm happy just a listen or two to that song and I want to jump off a bridge. *:-) *Damn fine song though.

Most Depressing Song

Well, this is the most depressing song in the world for me, but only because it is my life story at this point. *I wrote it just before I started therapy. It was partly this song that kept me from killing myself. *It is a truely depressing song, if you take sh!t really personally, don't listen to it. *It still brings tears to my eyes to hear it. You can hear that towards the end of the song I was actually crying while doing the vocals. *

Waiting to die

Jeremy

Most Depressing Song

before I begin, I just wanna say that this really is a personal thing. One person might jump to a song, while another would totally break down 'cause he may associate it with something from his life.

- Burzum "Filosofem" (the entire album)
- Cranberries "Zombie" (probably the first rock song I've listened to....so it really brings back memories of childhood, you all know what that's like...)
- Guns N' Roses "The Garden"
- Metallica "Call of Ktulu"
- Jeremy's "Waiting to Die"

Burzum's album is actually brilliant. If you're down, it'll bring you up, and if you're exited, it makes you wanna kill (as in feeds you more energy). There's a song with some background electronic music and these three notes repeating and repeating for 25 minutes, only the background changing...man, does that one make me think!! :loco:

Most Depressing Song

The songs that frequently get me are:

"All Is Full Of Love" - Björk
"The Same Deep Water As You" - The Cure
"Dead Souls" - Joy Divison
"The Eternal" - Joy Division
"Love Will Tear Us Apart" - Joy Division
"Something I Can Never Have" - Nine Inch Nails
"Comfortably Numb" - Pink Floyd
"Makebelieve" - Prick
"No Fair Fights" - Prick

However, I reckon the most doleful, heart-wrenching song I can think of right now is probably "The Weeping Song", by Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds. It's so dark and gloomy I can bearly stand to listen to it unless I'm already in the mood for that kind of thing.
