I think I already know the outcome of this thread, but I thought I would ask anyway.
So originally I picked up the guitar when I was about 12, and was hardcore as they come until I got to high school and started singing. Then eventually I got into doing shows (ie musicals). Now I'm going to school for musical theatre and have a year left, but I've COMPLETELY rediscovered my love for guitar. Although being onstage in a show is a high of its own, it will never compare to those goosebump moments you have while
playing guitar or playing a live gig. So now, I'm going to pursue music...
Anyway...I thought it'd be interesting to see what you guys thought of musical theatre. So many guitarists and "rockers" can't stand it and/or absolutely dispise it. And so many people think I'm g a y b/c of it too, which sucks, but what can you do?
So, thoughts?? BTW, I'm not talking CATS and Phantom and all that sh*t...there's some good intelligent stuff out there too.
