As some of you know, I write for a couple of guitar magazines here in Australia, and I have hundreds of old articles on my hard drive from previous issues - instructional columns, interviews, how-tos, reviews, etc etc etc. I thought it was kinda sad just having them sit there, never to be read again, so I've decided to make a
blog (partly inspired by some stuff I've posted on Jemsite too) to post them on.
The address is
http://iheartguitar.blogspot.com
Over time I will add a lot more content, including interviews with Joe Satriani (two, in fact), Steve Lukather, Zakk Wylde, Dragonforce, Dream Theater, Judas Priest, Page Hamilton, Seymour Duncan,
Dweezil Zappa and many more. Today I've added my interview with Paul Gilbert from the release of "Get Out Of My Yard." The cool thing is, I can now publish full-length versions of interviews that were cut down to 1,000 or 500 words for publication.
I'm also aiming to have a weekly wrap-up of new guitar-related releases, and a 'lick of the week' video/audiot/tab feature. I'll also review albums, DVDs and concerts. In short, all the stuff I write about on various forums or personal emails anyway, but in a more open format.
I'm still learning how to blog, so bare with me as I learn in public!
