"We're gonna put [CAMEO's] 'Word Up' on the record, and also we did a version of 'Another Brick In The Wall' by PINK FLOYD," the guitarist told Launch Radio Networks. "We recorded NINE INCH NAILS' song 'Head Like A Hole', we did FAITH NO MORE, 'We Care A Lot', a PSYCHEDELIC FURS song, which I personally, I thought it's better than 'Word Up', but the democracy thing has to play in a decision like that. It's 'Love My Way', I think. It's really good."

Munky also confirmed that the band will release a full-length collection of cover tunes at some point. "Yeah, we're gonna actually, probably record about three or four more," he said. "And we wanna do something that's early metal, two or three, and just really make 'em sound huge. So yeah, we're gonna do that later on and release it as an album."

I may not be much of a fan but that's just plain cool.

does the public really still give a crap about this band? I know I stopped even having the interest an actively hating them a couple years ago.

Jem7vwh- I didn't know that people ever cared??
I would rather have a Backdoor Boys cd, featuring John Tesh stuck in my cd player ..... then be subjected to the torture of setting through this set list by Korn.

Watch those forum rules guys.

And actually people do care. I didn't know about this song until I heard it on the radio (and trust me, they never play Korn on the radio here. Even back when Follow the Leader was huge, I heard "Got The Life" on the radio once. Ever.).

For what Korn did in the first 3 albums, their legacy is cemented...

I've always thought that there were one or two bands that can rise above the music category that they found themselves in. Van Halen for late 70's rock. U2 from the British invasion in the early 80's. Guns & Roses from the hair metal days. Those bands can write their own ticket. Do what they want. And the masses will still eat up whatever they do. Korn is that band in the Nu-Metal era. Like it or not, they are here to stay...

I like Korn. I'm a 35 year old fogie but I totally dig them. I can understand why guitar players get frustrated with them, their tone is not condusive to what we play but you cannot dismiss the impact they have had...

And a complete copy of the cover by the Scottish band "Gun" - anyone remember them?

One thing-This is a greatest hits CD with maybe four or five greatset hits. I have no problem with best of CD's, but calling a CD with any new songs, or a bunch of songs that weren't actually hits a greatest hits CD is, to me, kinda crappy. I think if someone want s to put out a greatest hits CD, they should have actual hits, like Stairway to heaven or enter sandman or freak on a leash, and if they don't have enough actual hits to make a CD, call it a best of CD instead.
I like Korn and the CD looks good, but I just have this one pet peeve I wanted to point out.

Remember when pointing fingers, you have most of them pointing back at yourself. This clearly falls into the flaimbait category!

Well all know TwoHands31 and several others (me included) like Korn. This obviously is serving more as an informative than it is a grandstand or flamebait material.

That said, this should be a good release that I might just end up buying. I don't own any Korn albums yet, and this should give me a good all around sampling of what the band is capable of.

Korn r0xxx, vai suxxx !!!!!!!1111 <--that's flamebait

TwoHand's post was just a bit of info, and since the title is "New from Korn", if you don't like Korn just don't read the post ;-)

I don't care much for then anymore, but I found it interesting to read that they might have a cover album in the works. If it's anything like RATM's cover album, I might get it...

Liking Korn is not flamebait. If people liking Korn makes you mad and makes you want to fight, then you need to check what's important in life.

And there'd be no such thing as flamebait if people didn't flame others.
