new genre - hate jazz :) straight from Poland

Hi. I'm pretty sure you haven't heard about Chris Misiak- Poland's best guitarist- not only my opinion. His music is not easy to listen, but lovely. He uses Ibanez RG770DXLB and Rivera amp. Problem in Poland is that nobody wants to invest in music other than mainstream ;/ So Chris is making his records by only his budget. Very sad as he has great talent.. won Guitar World Lick of the Month once. He is successful, but lack of promotion is killing his potential.
It's hard to live in a country with the focked up authorities

Please give him a chance and listen to some tracks:

www.myspace.com/krzysztofmisiak

you can download something from the websites also:

http://www.misiak.art.pl/en.html

ENJOY ! His records rock !

yeah, but his music is let's say, not something that great- he's one trick pony- for many people- it's rather art for arts sake I must say.

Misiak on the other hand is highly admired guitarist. Very versitale- rock, metal, funky, fusion, jazz - almost everything. But Fulara has his chance.. he released his record a few days ago.. so his career can go up...

Unfortunately he give's that impression fettouhi. Many people in Poland consider him as desribed above. I'm not trying to offend anyone. He's got admirable, stunning.. impressing technique but he closed himself in his two hand tapping technique and it's hard to digest for some people- e.g. me. If he would manage to spice it up a bit with a "traditional" solo, shred a bit (he can). It would be another image. Now I see him as a great musician, devoted to his technique, probably the best at it, but still a hobbyst- guy with perfect technique, unique style but without that vibe.
It's only my opinion- everybody has one, so do not eat me.

Fulara to me at least is rather original while Chris Misiak (from what I heard so far) is just another drop in the bucket.

I dont know about this Misiak guy but IMO Fulara is a joke. One trick pony sounds like a perfect description to me.

Yes- he is ORIGINAL, everyone must admit that. And also Misiak is more "mainstream" but original also. Who's better- just a matter of taste. There's also a matter of experience, Misiak is professional for years- can play in every live band situation, he is a session guitarist also, skilled in every style and giving something unique. He's got great tone, great technique a improvising skills. Fulara- sorry.. didn't notice those qualities in him. He just learned a classical pieces, derived from that and still gettin' better, but he's far away from Misiak's skill and position. And his tone sucks.

For the jazz stuff Fulara plays he needs a better tone definately. I agree with you there but his classical stuff his tone right on the money IMHO. Try listening to Zack Kim

http://www.zackkim.com/

his tone is much worse.

Misiak's not a bad player, but what I heard of him didn't impress me that much. I personally like Marek Raduli more.

As for Fulara, I don't think he really found his style yet, but I think he's on his way. I think people concentrate too much on trying to put various unorthodox guitar players in the "guitarist" box, and expect "guitaristic" music from them. I personally haven't heard any of Adam Fulara's music that I'd find interesting, but I don't have a problem with his approach.
