New George Lynch CD

Anybody listened to the new George Lynch project? The band is called "Souls of We", whatever that means, and the CD is titled "Let the Truth be Known."

The band is listed as London LeGrand (vox), Lynch (gtr), Johny Chow (bass), and Yael (whoever the hell that is, drums). Funny thing is, in the liner notes, Jeff Pilson played bass on nine tracks on the CD, and two other drummers played on 11 of the tracks. Guess the band didn't really firm up until right before they finished the disc!

Anyway, it's not bad. Not a lot of ground-breaking work going on here, but it's a decent CD. Don't like the vocalist that much, but he's not irritating, either. The band has kind of a hippie vibe, and judging by the liner notes, these guys are hitting the bong pretty hard. That's not my thing, but the guitar is pretty typical heavy Lynch, and he must have had a good spell where he could stay in key and actually hear the monitors while they tracked this thing.

I find it amusing, and kinda sad, that this new CD has so little appeal/interest that this thread has drawn ZERO posts. Unless of course, my original post was so concise and thorough that there really is nothing left to say, in which case I'll just consider it a job well done and move on.

Still, I would have expected SOMEONE to at least say, "Lynch sucks." Cid? Anyone? Can I get an AMEN?
