Re: New Meshuggah leaked...

Heard the new album in its entirety, hmm, it sounds just like Nothing, everything's mid-tempo with some weird noises here and there.

No surprises or twists here...

Well a few people on the JP forum have got advance copies or DL'ed it. They think it's their best work yet. Check out their thoughts......

Oh yeah, the inevitable Positivity Police has arrived! "Only speak your opinions on something if what you have to say is positive, or you're a bastard."

You're the one who turned it combative. No, my post wasn't necessary. But hey, neither was any other post here, yours included. Woo, imagine that! Everyone posted anyway. And it was good.

Relax you say... funny... I'm very relaxed. Seems like you're the one who needs to chill out.

If you weren't trying to start something, why did you post that? Why didnt you just not post since you obviously don't like Meshuggah, or if you have to post, say "I don't like Meshuggah". Though that'd be even more pointless, since this is a thread about their new album. So unless you've heard the new album, or want to ask something from others who have heard it, or want to express your opinion of looking forward to it or not looking forward to it, why bother posting?

Re: New Meshuggah leaked...

I obviously don't like Meshuggah? Stop assuming. I happen to think None, DEI and Chaosphere are great and I have done so for many many years. I don't happen to like what they've produced from Nothing and forward. It's a short way of saying "I didn't like Catch 33, it is to me very boring and predictable". You know, just because someone expresses a personal opinion that isn't exuberantly positive doesn't mean he or she is trolling.

Sheesh.

When will people stop being so touchy-feely weird? Saying something sucks is no different from someone saying something rocks. It's just in the case of the former, the Positivity Police jumps in requiring explanations for why someone doesn't like something, but never in the latter case. Isn't that interesting?

The next time you make a thread about something, please put "people who don't have positive things to say should stay out of this thread because they're not welcome" so everyone knows...

Some people... political correctness has gone too far. You've all watched too much Teletubbies. I'm done.

I never said you had to be positive. You are certainly entitled to your opinion. However, how about concluding with an explanation about WHAT your are "yawning" about rather than posting an obviously vague comment? Otherwise, you just look like a smartass with nothing intelligent to say.

For the record, I'm mostly in agreement with you regarding the last few Mesh CDs. Fro "Nothing" on, they haven't been my favorites, but I can still see validity in them.

Look, I've seen your posts over at the Mesh forum. More often than not, your posts are generally there to instigate arguements. I assumed you were attempting the same thing here. My bad.
