New Tool CD

Who has it? I know there is no shredding going on, but Tool is probably the most original band to come out in sometime, and they still haven't been copied. I was at work today and I saw it was out. I picked it up but haven't been able to listen to it yet. The packaging is cool though.

Re: New Tool CD

I picked my copy up yesterday and have given it a few spins. Its a pure tool album and like most tool albums its an instant classic to fans imo.

Its alot more raw and viceral in its concepts and playing that i was expecting. To me it kinda crosses the undertow feel and the lateralus arangments but there are also tracks with a full lateralus feel of spirituality and such.

A great album imo.

Re: New Tool CD

Great album!

It's still original (in a tool-unique way). It fells heavier to my ears than Laterallus, but there's a lot of spirituality as well (Wings (parts 1 & 2) are about Maynard's mother, who passed away after 27 years in paralysis, therefore the title 10000 days=27 years).
If you get into it, you'll most certainly enjoy it.
