New Vernon Reid CD

Who picked up the new Vernon Reid disc? I just picked it up last night and only listened to it once quickly while driving home - sounds pretty intriguing...

I am a big Vernon fan, but not having means to shop online and having terrible distribution in local stores I don't have it yet. I did however get to see Vernon 2 months ago...

Im getting it soon, I am huge fan of Vernon Reid and Mistaken Identity is one of my favorite albums, Known Unknown is pretty good too. I can't wait to pick his new one up.

Have to agree, he's a great player. I missed Living Colour on their tour last fall, hopefully they'll tour again. I didn't even pick up their Vivid CD until a few months ago and now I listen to it all the dang time. Great stuff from every member of that band.

How's their live show? I'd suspect it's great.

Their live show is flooping awesome, though I only got to see Living Colour once - tons of energy and they nail all the songs perfectly, plus they tend to jam out on a few tunes which works very well.

I saw Masque twice and they're quite excellent as well.

Living Colour is one of the best rock bands I have ever seen live (Rage Against the Machine was another). I caught them two or three times. Last time, was a medium size venue (Irving Plaza in NYC) and I remember being amazed when the singer Corey put the mic behind his back and sang over one of the choruses of Cult of Personality. You could hear him over the instruments and the PA, the dudes voice is just that powerful..whole band was amazing and tight..Vernon just rips your head off...

Just keep Vernon away from the damn microphone..he got into some bizrre stream of cousciouness rap about Kilingons and sh**
