Man, do I love Dave Grohl! Anything he puts his talents to is excellent, and on the drumset nonetheless! He's seriously awesome, look forward to this collaboration! Good find!

Agree, Dave's one of the most underrated and most talented drummers around today. He's just got an amazing sense of rhythm and a unique style. He really does play for the song, not just to show off. He's a songwriter who just happens to play drums as his first instrument.

Holy crap! I'm hoping for great things from the new NIN album, and Dave Grohl is playing drums?

Rock!

That and a 5.1 re-mastered version of The Downward Spiral?

Agreed! I almost crapped myself when I read that I'm looking forward to hearing "Closer" in 5.1, but even more interested in how he's re-mixed the more sparse tracks like "Hurt".

And I really really hope he continues with this and does a 5.1 version of The Fragile in its entirety (including the 3 bonus tracks found on the vinyl version). And maybe throw on a 5.1 mix of "The Perfect Drug" just to really mess with peoples sanity

I'm also really looking forward to Closure being on DVD. I'm hoping the "added" stuff will include the rest of their music videos, behind the scenes footage from the Fragility tours and everything since, and most importantly: the Broken short film.

He's also apparently planning to continue releasing albums on vinyl as well.

Actually the whole website is done like that. Someone asked about the font and he said that they do it by hand.

Oh, and here's the webcams, Dave's sitting in the studio right now on the second webcam recording drum parts (interesting set up he has right now...):

Here's a window with both webcams in it (just keep hitting F5 and it'll keep updating): http://www.nin.com/visuals/webcam.html

Dave Grohl and NIN? Man, don't own anything by them yet, but that sounds like a good reason to start.

Twohands, is the fact both those screens are pitch-black some sort of joke?

Hey, aren't musicians allowed to sleep?

Yea, they're just not in the studio right now I guess.

I hope the Closure dvd will have good extras .I'd really like to see the Broken movie finally released, cause all the versions I've downloaded are of very poor quality (which in fact gives the movie more realism, as Trent clearly wanted to make it seem like a real snuff film).

And I heard somewhere that he was thinking of releasing it, and with the Closure DVD coming out with "extras" as he said, maybe this will be one of them.
