Ok, I have a strange question about Steve and the current trends in touring.

He's coming to my neck of the woods and I would like to get my Universe signed. Now in the past he has been super cool and before or after the show he has signed my other guitars, but that has been 10 - 15 years ago. Now with the whole EVO experience thing does he not stop for fans outside anymore? Just want to know if anyone has had any luck with him outside of the venues these days?
thanks

I believe that Steve still remains very accessible to fans, evo package or not. I think it would just be a matter of catching him outside (or possibly in). I am sure you won't have any problems getting a guitar signed. I can't speak from experience, but I'm sure you'll hear some pretty cool stories in this thread.

Well i hung around the back of a club with my guitar in hand and the bouncer asked me if I wanted to get it signed and he spoke on his walkie talkie thing and took me to the after party which was held in the same building just upstairs and I got me a scotch and coke and had Steve sign my guitar and I said a quick hi to the rest of the band.

Was the best thing ever to happen to me, in regards to meeting my music influences while growing up. He was my favourite hands down and I got to meet him. Nothing can beat that except meeting him again... lol

I took the neck off of my JS700 and 97UV. Then my friend and I ran out to his car and got them after the show and brought them back in for the aftershow.

I'd be very careful about asking security if the aftershow pass will get you re-admittance to the venue after the show's over though.

I would love to have my EP9 signed by Vai, but I'm doubtful about getting to it after the show at the House of Blues in Chicago in Sept. and then getting back in...

Unless I get parking right outside the joint like I did at the Riviera on Broadway. And I won't know that until I get there that day.
