Prashant Aswani

I was just wondering if anyone else here listens to Prashant Aswani. It's rare to even see his name mentioned and I don't recall anyone ever posting about him here on Jemsite. I've been a fan for some time, mainly because I'm a huge Greg Howe fan and I learned about Prashant when looking into other albums/projects that Greg had been involved in.

likewise. ive only watched/listened to a clip or two of his, but he seemed like a great player. but yea, greg howe is god, haha.

btw, good recommendation on the planet x in your other thread, they're one of my favorites these days.

He is a great player, I just don't think he's had a chance to shine as brightly as he can yet. Both his albums leave something to be desired, production-wise, but his actual playing is great. Easy to spot the influence of Greg, but that's no surprise as Prashant took lessons from him. I think the next Prashant album with be his best yet, he's had a good amount of time to refine his playing since Duality was released. Really looking forward to listening.
